MMWAHDRB | Makes Me Want A Hot Dog Real Bad

If you know, you know. This shade is named after one of my mom’s favorite lines from Legally Blonde 2 - Jennifer Coolidge serving pure iconic chaos with, “You look like the 4th of July, makes me want a hot dog real bad.” We talked about turning that quote into a polish back in May, after I made a custom for a Babb that immediately sparked the idea. And we knew this was it.

MMWAHDRB is a defiant glitter topper packed with joy—a chaotic mix of hex and star glitters in silver and gold holo, red, blue, and pink. It’s over-the-top in the best way, like if fireworks and a protest sign had a sparkly little baby.

But this isn’t your typical “stars and stripes” situation. My mom taught me from a young age to never take rights for granted. To show up. To vote. To protest. To give a damn. We had complicated feelings about this country, but endless hope for what it could become. This shade isn’t about blind patriotism—it’s about possibility. About equality for everyone, and about celebrating the power of community, resistance, and doing the damn work.

I had a whole campaign planned with her, and while I couldn’t bring it all to life this year, I’ll be honoring that next summer with a blog, twin mani's, and stories about the woman who helped shape everything I believe in. For now, this is me doing what I can. Sharing a piece of her with you. Wear it bold. Wear it loud. And maybe grab a hot dog.

Starting 07/01/25: I will be going about the LOUD gives back program differently. I have loved creating charity shades within the community but I feel like I could make a greater impact in other ways. For the 3rd quarter of 2025 (July, August and September) I will be donating 5% of LOUD's total profits to the ACLU.
