LOUD Intentions - LOUD

LOUD Intentions

Ok, let's talk about the elephant in the room.... New Years resolutions. Is it just me or does it feel like it has become a dirty secret to have a resolutions list? We've been told for the last decade that it's unrealistic to set resolutions. That they are impossible to keep and we joke about how we let them go immediately. But really, a New Years resolution is just intent. Saying out LOUD that we know that we have work to do on ourselves and that we want to start the  new year trying to achieve our highest selves. And you know what? That is a GOOD thing!
So let's bring that sentiment back. We'll even change the language to "LOUD Intentions" so there is no negative connotation. Because you know what? We are worth it!
I'LL START...
At the beginning of last year, I was emerging out of what was the hardest few years of my life. I made it my goal to "Choose Happy". It was my mantra and without really even realizing it, I had set an intention. And you know what? It freaking worked! I had the happiest year I have had in in a long ass time. Every decision I made came back to "does this make me happy?". I ended this year realizing that alcohol no longer did, and I needed to quit. This was a HARD decision for me. My entire life revolved around alcohol and quitting was not easy. But I knew it had to be done and now, almost two months in, I have never been happier about a decision.
So now, as I reflect on my last year and that mantra and my decision to quit drinking, it leads me into this new years intention.  Here I am, in my "LOUD 2.0 era", in a new home that I own, engaged to the love of my life and sober. I have found new soil all around me and I want to feed my soul with healthy habits and continue to learn how to be my highest self. So this years mantra is to "Bloom where I am planted". It's not specific like "drink more water" but in order to grow, I need to drink more water. So it's more of an overall intention that encompasses good habits. Every decision this year will come back to "is this helping me grow into the person I want to be?" and if the answer is no, then I am not interested in doing it.
LOUD is an extension of me. And so this next year, it too will bloom where it is planted. We have been criticized for being inconsistent and in order to grow, we need to admit our short comings and learn from them. Social media is hard ya'll and I am sorry for the amount of times we have promised and failed. We don't have a social media manager and we do our best. We tried our own app and it was expensive and limiting. We've tried Instagram and YouTube and Facebook groups and newsletters and blogs and finding the best way to connect with our community. At the end of the day, the answer is, there is no answer. We are everywhere, at different times and life happens and we need to be able to communicate that effectively to you. So we are asking you to sign up for our Babbs Besties text list.
While I would love to give each and every one of you my personal cell number, that isn't going to help me grow as a person (OMG, the anxiety) but at least we can text YOU and say "Live in 30 minutes on IG" or "flash sale today 50% off singles" or even just "we want to know what you got for Christmas, go answer our poll on the FB group".  We will treat this list like our "friend group", texting you to keep you informed so no one feels like "I didn't even know LOUD was doing XYZ because they fell off such and such platform". Specific reference, I know ;)
Anyways, if you are interested in being a part of our journey this year, we would be THRILLED to have you. We freaking LOVE our Babbs and try and include them in everything we do. From unofficial staff meetings on our lives to creative decisions,  to theme ideas to product development. We want to grow into the brand YOU want to be a part of and we want your help getting there.
Thanks for being a part of my growth Babbs!
